Bubinga wood, Bubinga African Round Logs also know with its common name as Kevazingo; one of the best African hard wood species with limited supplies. More so, the Bubinga goes with the scientific name; Guibourtia spp. (G. demeusei, G. pellegriniana, G. tessmannii)
Regarding the color and texture of the Bubinga ; Heartwood ranges from a pinkish red to a darker reddish brown with darker purple or black streaks. As well as Sapwood known to a pale straw color and clearly demarcated from the heartwood. More so Bubinga very frequently seen with a variety of figure, including: pommele, flamed, waterfall as well as quilted and mottled.
Bubinga hard wood has a great number of uses. Some of which include; Veneer, inlays as well as fine furniture, cabinetry, turnings, and other specialty items. In addition, Since Bubinga trees can grow so large, natural-edge slabs of the wood have also been used in tabletops and other specialized projects
